Mario Vazquez Quits "Idol," Nikko is Back

In a move that shocked just about everyone, Bronx singer Mario Vazquez quit American Idol on Sunday. Vasquez, who was considered a favorite to win the competition, told TV Guide.com: "[I]quit to take care of some personal issues with my family in New York. And with Idol being a live show, it just wouldn't have worked out schedule-wise." However, his mom told the New York Post she has no idea what Mario is talking about. Hmmm. Sounds fishy to me. Mario will be replaced by Nikko Smith, who was voted off the show last week.
