UPDATE: Mario Vazquez's "Why I Left Idol" Publicity Tour

Since abruptly quitting American Idol on Saturday, claiming the show "wouldn't have worked out schedule-wise," Mario Vazquez has found plenty of time to appear on TV shows ranging from Extra to David Letterman. I couldn't turn on the TV yesterday without seeing the quitter, err, I mean singer offering another lame explanation for why he had to leave the show. My favorite was the excuse he gave to Regis and Kelly. Mario compared Amerian Idol to a girlfriend whom he had to dump after falling out of love. Regis chimed in "after one week, Mario?!" Mario ended his "Why I Left" publicity tour with an appearance on David Letterman, where he made fun of himself by delivering the "Top Ten Reasons I Left American Idol." Here they are.
