Top Model's Christina Thinks Kahlen Should Win

Tuesday May 10, 2005
After being voted off America's Next Top Model, Christina, a fashion marketing student from Tallahassee, Florida, is rooting for another model to win the competition. "If I would have to say anyone should win, I would think the person who is strongest at this point of the competition is Kahlen," she told me last week.

"She has a diversity to her. She looks like the girl next door but she’s still able to transform herself week after week in her pictures. Plus she’s so nice, bubbly and she’s grown a lot in her confidence."

From peanut butter fights with the girls, to their surprise trip to South Africa, to photo shoots with some of the biggest names in the industry, Christina says the Top Model experience was "amazing" overall. But does she have any regrets?

"The only thing is that I didn’t open myself up as far as my personality as much as I should have when I was in panel," she says. "But it’s not really a regret, it’s a lesson I learned...I don’t know if it was nerves or I was just trying to be professional because these are important people in the industry. For some reason, I just held back and they didn’t get my bubbly personality that I usually have. My girlfriends were like you didn’t show them your goofy side!"

This summer, Christina will have a chance to wow a new set of "important people in the industry." "I’m going to take my chance and go to NY and see what happens," she revealed. You go (get famous), girl!
