Why Contender Finalist Peter Manfredo Almost Quit Boxing
Congratulations to Peter Manfredo! The boxer made it to the Contender Final Two when he beat Alfonso Gomez on last night's episode. But Peter's victorious moment in the ring would not have happened if he made a life-changing decision two years ago. In an exclusive interview, Manfredo told me "A couple years ago I didn’t even know if I wanted to fight or not... because I was only making so much money. I was just getting by and I was telling myself is this worth it? I was going in the ring 8 to 10 rounds and making like $5000. Plus I was sucking down on weight all the time and sacrificing so much. I was thinking I could get a job and make the same amount. Luckily, I stuck with it and it all paid off. I got to be on the Contender and showcase my talent."
