The premise of ABC's "Welcome to the Neighborhood" sounded innocent enough -- seven diverse families compete for a dream home on a suburban cul-de-sac and the neighbors decide who moves in. But the show set off a storm of controversy when groups including the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation raised concern about prejudice on the show. Now ABC has pulled the series before its debut.
"So You Think You Can" Copy American Idol?
Fox has revealed more details about their new competition show "So You Think You Can Dance?" I think you will agree that the show sounds an awful lot like American Idol...well, except for the dancing part. On "So You Think You Can Dance," auditions are held all over the country. Performers who make the cut are invited to Hollywood semifinals, then a group of finalists are chosen to compete on the show. One winner is eventually named the best dancer in America. "So You Think You Can Dance" premieres July 20 on Fox.
