Amazing Race 8 Reaches Finish Line Tonight
Tuesday December 13, 2005
What is being called the worst season of The Amazing Race to date concludes with a two-hour finale tonight. The show's toned-down and mostly US-based Family Edition left viewers like me hungry for more exciting challenges and exotic locations. (Note: The season 7 episode on which the teams visited a safari in Africa was exciting. The current season's episode on which the families visited a giant office chair in Aniston, Alabama -- not so exciting!) But at least the show's least-loved family, The Weavers, gave us something to talk about.
Who would have thought that a religious family consisting of a mom who recently lost her husband in a tragic accident and her three children would become the biggest villians of the season? Bonnie in the Reality TV forum explains, "The Weavers are just a little too cocky, self-righteous, and judgemental for me, though I do feel bad for their situation."
The Weavers will be competing against the Bransen and the Linz families when the finale airs tonight at 8 pm ET on CBS.
