He is the worst dancer on Dancing With the Stars this season. He refuses to wear dancing shoes or ballroom costumes because that's just not his style. He got the lowest score from the judges last week and one judge even remarked that it's time he left the competition. In a recent poll on this site, 52 percent of you thought he should go after last week's performance...

But it seems that Master P isn't going anywhere.

For the third week in a row, fans have voted the rebellious rapper back into the competition while better dancers are eliminated from the show.

P's success on the show has caused an uproar on ABC's Dancing With the Stars message boards. Topic threads include "P for Pathetic," "Dump Mr. P," and "Master P, What a Joke."

So, the question is: Who is voting for Master P?

I have a few theories:

1) The platinum-selling rapper has countless fans out there who may be calling in to save him. I'm pretty sure he has more fans than last week's eliminee, Giselle "Who is she?" Fernandez. Dancing With the Stars may be more about popularity than Paso Dobles.

2) Viewers may be voting to save P's partner Ashly. Ashly was a favorite from the first season of Dancing With The Stars, when her celebrity partner was singer Joey McIntyre. Fans may be feeling sorry for Ashly because they feel she is stuck with a lousy partner this season.

3) Maybe voters are more patient with P because he is filling in for his rapper son Romeo, who dropped out of the competition because of a basketball injury. Master P had only one week to rehearse before the show kicked off. The other celebrities had several weeks.

4) While his critics roll their eyes, P's supporters may be inspired by his "I'm doing this for the hood" attitude. The rapper says he wants to be a role model for kids in the ghetto who want to try something new. He also takes every opportunity to point out that he is raising money for his hometown New Orleans, which was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. P established the charity Team Rescue One to assist victims of the hurricane.

Whatever the reason may be for fans keeping Master P on the show, I am glad he will be back this week. I have come to realize that the best part of Dancing With the Stars 2 has been the build up to P's performances and watching nervously to see how they turn out. The show won't be the same when he is eliminated...if he is ever eliminated!
