Survivor Winner Richard Hatch Going to Prison
Thursday January 26, 2006
The jury has spoken. Survivor's first winner Richard Hatch will test his survival skills in prison after being found guilty of tax evasion charges Wednesday. Hatch, whose lawyer called him "the world's worst bookkeeper," failed to pay taxes on the $1 million prize he won on Survivor. He was also found guilty of evading other taxes related to a Boston radio show he cohosted. The judge in the case says he expects Hatch to get between 33 months and 41 months in prison when he is sentenced on April 28. The reality star was led away from the courtroom in handcuffs.
