Bachelor Breakup: Travis and Sarah Are Over!

Wednesday March 8, 2006
I recently received an email from a reader who asked "Why are there no answers to the question -- are Travis and Sarah still together as a couple? We are a 400 board strong ladies site that are waiting for an answer -- any answer -- just to relieve us."

Well, we finally have an official answer for you. The latest Bachelor couple has already broken up. In fact, the break up happened before the show's finale aired.

Travis and Sarah admitted that they split in an interview with their local paper, The Tennessean. They also offered some reasons why it didn't last. Apparently, ABC's rule that the couple couldn't see each other until the show's season finale was a factor.

"You're in Paris and you're part of this incredible experience, this fantasy world, and then suddenly you come back to Nashville, and living in the same city I think we thought was going to be a great thing," Travis said. "But instead, you're forced to pretend you don't know someone, for essentially the last four months."

"The reality is that we were in this fantasy world. And now that we're back in Nashville, over time when you're not allowed to see someone, you grow apart."

Sarah said things would have worked out differently if they met under different circumstances.

"We wouldn't have had all the baggage that comes from being on this show. It would just be the two of us being able to hang out and get to know each other in a normal situation," she said.

Travis and Sarah plan to remain friends.
