Bad Reviews For Fox's Unan1mous
Thursday March 23, 2006
What are critics saying about the new Fox show Unan1mous?
The Orlando Sentinel says: "Reality television reaches new depths, figuratively and literally...Fox has chosen to waste one of its choice slots on this nasty social experiment ." Read the full review.
The Washington Post says: "TV tip for the savvy viewer: At 9:30, after tonight's 'American Idol' results show, grab that remote and quickly switch away from Fox." Read the full review.
I say: Don't listen to them!
If you didn't see the first episode, watch the show for yourself next week and judge for yourself. I'm not saying Unan1mous (read the premise here) won't leave a nasty taste in your mouth. After all, it features a guy who is low enough to lie about having testicular cancer (and laugh about it), a mean-spirited minister who is more hypocritical than holy, and producers who dangle 1.5 million dollars in front of the contestants' faces while making their lives a living hell. But considering that these contestants are free to leave their dark dwelling, you may be entertained as you watch how far they will go for money. And if you can't stomach it all, grab the remote!
Unan1mous airs Wednesday nights at 9:30 pm on Fox.
