American Idol's fifth winner will be crowned at the end of this month. But what's up with the first four winners of the show? - Season One Idol Kelly Clarkson is busy planning her next album. She tells MTV this one will be "more rock, more soulful, a lot that has a bit more of a singer/songwriter kind of vibe."
- Season two winner Ruben Studdard has been scarce lately. I was starting to wonder if we would ever hear from him again. According to MTV, Ruben is actually in the studio recording his next album, which is tentatively titled The Return of the Velvet Teddy Bear. Popular singer/songwriter Ne-Yo is helping to produce the record. And guess who Ruben wants to record a duet with? Season three winner Fantasia!
- Speaking of Fantasia, production has already started on a Lifetime movie about her life. Fantasia will be playing herself in the film, which has the working title Life Is Not A Fairy Tale. And how funny is it that Kadeem Harrison, who played Dwayne Wayne on the comedy A Diff'rent World, will be playing her dad?
- And finally, Carrie Underwood has achieved something that has nothing to do with music -- she graduated from college. The singer reportedly walked the stage at Northeastern State University on Saturday. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in journalism. Congrats, Carrie!
