Biggest Loser News : Trainer Jillian Michaels Won't Be Back Next Season

So, I'm watching television late at night and I see Jillian Michaels hawking fitness videos on TV. I thought to myself she's really branching out. But I didn't realize just how far she was branching out. NBC announced today that she will no longer be a trainer on The Biggest Loser. She will be replaced by fitness expert Kim Lyons.(Check out Kim's website here.) Of course, my enquiring mind just had to know if Jillian chose to leave The Biggest Loser or if she was asked to leave. A spokesperson for NBC told me via email "Jillian Michaels has decided to leave the show to pursue other opportunities. She has been a wonderful asset to The Biggest Loser and has changed the lives of so many of the contestants. We wish her continued success in all her future endeavors."

I will miss Jillian a lot.
I had not heard this and so last night I tuned in to see her. I was disappointed to know she was gone. Jillian is an inspiration to all!

I tuned in last night also just to see JILLIAN!! Kim is qualified for sure. But she will never have that “kick ass” sexy attitude that only Jillian has!
To me she’s just a bend me over model fitness type!

I too was shocked that Jillian wasn’t on the BL Show last night, she had way more personality than Bob, or Kim it seems. They sure kept it quiet that she wasn’t going to be on, It won’t be the same without her.

I was surprised to learn that Jillian would no longer “kick ass” on the Biggest Loser. However, after watching two 2-hour episodes, it seems like Bob has stepped up and he is now the “ass-kicker!” He definitely seems to be more aggressive this year, while still connecting with the blue team. Although Jillian was a great asset to the show, I think Bob’s MO will fill in any gaps her absence will leave. Although Kim did get angry this week, she still seems like a “nice” angry person or even a “cute” angry person. So it looks like Bob has stepped it up this season!
I love Bob and Jillian. I’m sure Kim’s ok but I was soooo turned off when I saw here website. Um, trashy not tasteful. Jillian was gorgeous, definitely less body fat. Kim’s got a little roll in the middle whereas Jillian was tight ane rock hard.

I love Jillian, although since i’m Australian there is still a good possibility that she’ll return for the Australian spin off.
Oh but if Bob leaves…then i’m through with the BL…he’s soo hot!!!

The show isn’t the same with out her. Kim is ok… but Jillian brought spice to the show. I also think that the chemistry between Jillian and Bob was much better than it is with Kim.
I miss Jillian also. She was tough and you noticed the guys are not losing as much weight as they would if she was there. I guess finally the girls might have a chance.
jullian was a great kick-ass-gal. she was strong,inspiring, and tough.

I only watched 1 show this season. I am a PT so I just watch because I like to see the people so happy & hope that others in my area are waking up also! I don’t think Kim has ever had a weight problem so unlike J she could never know what it feels like to have that weight on you!
The show sux more now that Jillian is off but o well hopefully she’ll be back on!

Loosing Jillian, is like loosing one of “The Biggest Looser’s” BIGGEST and BEST assets. It’s just not the same without her. She’s amazing, inspirational and real.

I used to watch Biggest Loser all the time, now that Jillian is gone, it is only an after thought, or something I turn on until a better program comes along. Jillian has an awesome attitude, and I hope that we will see her soon
Due to my work hours i dont get to watch BL, but i did however get to see and, video tape, Australias biggest looser and what i saw of Jillian was incredible, shes the kinda person i need to put a bomb under me. I havent seen Kim yet so i cant comment, but BL is definatly loosing the biggest assett for its show. Oh yes and bob is HOT HOT HOT Call me Jilly lol

I’d like to find out EXACTLY what the circumstances were about why she left. I’ve had too many run-ins with the corporate “…Pursuing other opportunities…” phrase to not think that she was asked to leave. She may have been ask to “voluntarily” look into other opportunities, if you know what I mean. I’m probably wrong, but I’d like to know the whole story.
Seeing the show last night,I was shocked to see and hear Jillian’s dirty mouth. She definitely shows particularty to a certain girl on her team, does not meet the standards of getting someone motivated with all the dirty words.I love the show but I didn’t like her way of training.I have never missed the show,and I am glad she is off the show.
I was appalled at Jill’s attitude on the show where she really let her mouth overload her body and truthfully, I am pleased that she is leaving. We throughly enjoy the show as I have lost 100 lbs. on my own and I didn’t need a big mouth like Jill overseeing me.
Wow Jillian leaving.. that sucks me and my other 14 friends call each other every tuesday to watch it and we only watched it because of jillian .. Since she’s the toughest… I like that Jillian speaks out for her contestants that really means she cares.. And for Gloria Wood “sometimes you need to speak what’s on your mind, not only what peps want to hear, cuz not everything you hear will be pretty.. most of the time is gonna be ugly”…..
I realize most of you haven’t realized that this post was posted in 2006. It’s 2008 and 2009 is just around the corner. I don’t think Jillian will be going anywhere soon and NBC knows she’s an asset. I don’t like the way she’s got such a dirty mouth for such a pretty face but that’s the reality of most pretty people! Ha!
ok, so when i work out i pretend the Jullian is there pushing me harder. the show will not at all be the same without her….i watched a clip from kim and i dont like her…she is to soft. we need Jullian to be on the show. but i guess everyone needs a change in their life like she does….i wish her the best of luck somewhere else. i will miss her a lot.

Good Riddance! Jillian thinks she is tougher than she actually is and she needs to get over herself. I wish her luck on her next project and cant wait to see what Kim is all about!
