Jade Speaks Out -- My Interview With The Top Model Finalist
I couldn't wait to talk to America's Next Top Model finalist Jade after last night's episode of the show. I wanted to get inside her head for 30 minutes and find out what she was thinking while filming Top Model. Is she really as cocky as she seemed to be on the show?
"I feel that there is always two sides to a story, " Jade told me. "Unfortunately, everyone saw the one side of me. I have a very strong presence. If people want to say I'm arrogant, then that's fine. I just see myself as having a lot of confidence."
She also thinks what we saw on the show was a character created by producers. "I feel very blessed, truly, to have UPN cast me in that role. I got a lot of air time. I'm really grateful for the experience and at the same time, I'm glad that I could help UPN with their ratings."
But does Jade have any regrets? "My only regret is that I was not present in the editing room," she said. "It's not the end for me. It doesn't stop there. I don't have any remorse or bad feelings for leaving. I'm gonna rise and I will always rise."

Get over yourself, you could have been the next top model with a close mouth. The judges made a great decision to let you go (in which was a good one). Get some counseling and then work on your modeling career.

You need to truly listen to yourself and really listen to way you say things. You also need to look at and truly examine your behavior. UPN didn’t create a character of you, the things you said on the show and how you carried yourself was done by you.
Understand that there is confidence and arrogrance. And you are alot on the arrogant side. If more than one person tells you the same thing about your behavior, I think it’s worth checking for the problem.
I think you are beautiful girl with an awesome look but until you examine yourself and make corrections were necessary, you won’t be able to work in the field of your dreams.
She still does not accept responsibility for her actions. If she would have shut her mouth, she probably would have been in the finals. Usually when more than one person has the same perception of you, that perception is usually correct. She just needs to admit that if she always spoke back to them no one would hire her to do their shoot, because she is always right.
Haters. It was a TV show and Jade was turned into a “character”. Last time I checked this is still America and freedom of speech is not a crime. Stay strong Jade, speak your mind, say it loud, just like these bloggers and you will continue to go far.
Jade, girl. at first i was like i DONT LIKE HER…but as time went by, i was like damn her pics look good. and i think that ur personality is great, sometimes yeah u are as the judges said, ” jade” but hey u gotta be you. and i like that about you. peace. i know u will accomplish great things and that show was just publicity now.
Do you really think your snide, sarcastic words about “helping UPN ratings” etc. will FURTHER your goals? You have branded YOURSELF as a difficult DIVA, and proved so consistently and to the end. Beauty really IS only skin-deep, and you will find that out soon enough. Good luck - you’re gonna’ need it!
Jade, I have to say that I think you have a lot of work to do as for as your attitude; however you were one of my top 3. If it were not for your bad attitude you would have been ANTM and I was cheering for you, but if this experience teaches you anything is that when you are in the public eye you have to tone it down and be able to relate to others. Marinate on that… Good Luck!
Jade is 26 years, much too old to be a top model. Great models start as young as 14- 15. How does she plan to compete with that? Maybe, she’ll try to intimidate them. aLso her inability to memorize lines and think she could charm her way through the commercial really shocked me. She didn’t do much better with cue cards, maybe she has a learning problem and uses the cockiness as a defense mechaanism.
Jade, you don’t come off intelligent. Really. You never take responsibility. Though you are attractive, you are NOT TOP MODEL MATERIAL. The right girl won. PLUS, DANIELLE looks like a great person.

Jade, You really are beautiful, on the outside. I think you would have won, only if you did’nt think you already knew everything. You really need to start listening more and speak less. Who said being a model was about personality or intelligence, duh? Look at Tyra Banks she’s not always nice, and she isn’t very smart. Everyones comments show they can’t think for themselves and they follow others opinions.
i loved Jade on the show, i am smart enough to know that reality is not always what it seems. Most of it is all about editing. Jade is a beautiful young women and will go far since like many who have negatively commented about her i don’t know personaly. For all you hater know she can be the most beautiful human being inside and out.

Reality is not always as it seems however the camera can not make up things that are not there, Jade is guilty of some really bad behavior for the entire first half of the season. There may be a side of Jade we didn’t see but the reality is the nastiness was caught on film and viewed by the world. If Jade were smart she would have listened to the judges, Jade doesn’t listen very well, as a model you must follow direction and listen to what the director or photographer wants, not just do what you want because you think you already know everything. Here’s something else you don’t know Jade, your use of the english launguage is horrible, “brunetteness” is not a word. Jade you really have a lot to learn, good luck.
Jade, you take yourself far too seriously. If you could have shown some genuine enthusiasm, instead of smoldering arrogance, you may have ended up on top. As it was, you were just too one-dimensional to be champion.
Jade, oh Ms. Jade! I too think she would have gone oh so far had she just taken direction. It seems as is if she got the diva part down, but not the working model part.
She is beautiful and she is intelligent, but the person I saw every Wednesday was rude, selfish and down right disrespectful! She put others down to make herself feel better which is a HUGE sign of insecurity.
The Jade I would have liked to get to know was the one that greeted her mother out of the box. That reaction was so real and so beautiful! I know Jade can be a likeable person, but she made it so hard!
Ms. Jade, take this opportunity to reflect on this experience and tone the arrogance down by two nothces, just until you get a few jobs and are in a position to truly be a snob. By then no one can tell you whe to do!
I am not being mean, but i think Jade is humble, have a bad attitude, so that is maybe why she is out, she don’t even think she is wrong, i also think that some of the people Who is watching ANTM will say they want you to be out, cause of your behaviour
I believe Jade was the best thing that ever happened to that show, if she was cut weeks earlier my desires to whatch the show would’ve ended, like stating the obvious, she was indeed arrogant and did act like she knew at all, that only showed how really insecure she was and how much she is still have to learn, i think underneath at all she’s a cool gal, when cameras are rolling diferent personalities come alive from within, i know because i’m a professional actor, personally i think she had a huge potential, modelling is a cut throat business and way less friendly than acting, so she has the right amount of confidence to be burden by the business, but even though she didn’t win, i hope she knows how to use the exposure she received to become an amazing celebrity, whoether there is a model, actress or an entertainer cuz she definetely make you wanna go back for more., besides have you really seen the top model from first cycle been in the spotlight lately?? they go as fast as they come, strong and inteligent people always register their mark and keep evolving, remember the time madonna and cindy lauper came out, the bet was that madonna would be a one hit wonder and cindy the pop queen, where is cindy now??
very happy for danielle, she will improve her speech and joannie will get work. love her camellion trades but her grace kelly look doesn’t impress me.

you have an entrancing, addictive personality. whenever you were on tv, you just make people completely forget everyone else and focus on you.

I believe what Tyra said when she commented that you acted like you knew best but if you did, you would already have been a model. You demeaned yourself every time you made a comment and it didn’t just come off sarcastic, you were sarcastic. You have your own unique beauty, but Danielle did shine all the way through and they made the right choice.
Jade was a jerk but u couldn’t help but love her.
