Mario Lopez, 33, has those divine dimples that have women all over America going crazy. But his dancing -- not his cute dimples -- got him to the final round. Thanks to his undeniable natural talent, Mario was the king of the dance floor every week .
Then, there's Emmitt Smith. His moves were much safer than Mario's, but the former NFL star, 37, exuded confidence and class every time he performed. He's the contestant who made us want to go dancing with our husbands every week.

I think Joey should have won because he was the hardest working dancer out there. Mario’s still too stiff, especially in the face.
I think Mario should win in the end, but I do think Emmit is giving him a run for his money.
The dance contest belongs to Mario Lopez. The popularity contest belongs to Emmitt Smith. The show should change it’s name because the dancing is beginning to mean nothing. All you need is a huge fanbase.

By far Mario was the best dancer he danced at a pro level, Emmit should have won a Trophy for Popularity and Mario for BEST DANCER! I’m sure Emmit knew that he didn’t deserve that trophy I know Mario will go onto bigger and better things, Plus Mario you are so Gorgeous Emmit has nothing over you!
You know what, the right man won! Emmitt Smith became a dancer on the show, Mario already was a dancer and was dancing at pro level. And then he’s like “oh, I’m just an actor and a TV host.” How is it fair that that dick Mario is competing with amateur celebs? Mario is a cocky, arrogant ass who felt that he had won the competition in day one. Emmitt had confidence but was never cocky like Mario. Mario just rubs me the wrong way, first off he’s not that hot at all, and second that disco group dance they did, Oh my God, i thought what a washed-up, has been, Michael Jackson wanna be! There’s only one MJ. Emmitt inspired people with his dancing which he did for me, and made every girl (maybe even some guys!) wanna dance with him. He might not have the dancing skill or experience that Mario has, but everything you saw from Emmitt was what he learned within those ten weeks which is impressive for someone who comes from football, that has NOTHING to do with ballroom or latin style dancing. It wasn’t a competition for Emmitt, it was about making others feel good when they saw him dance and having fun. It was about bringing joy to our lives for that little while we see him dance. It was definetely a competition for Mario, who never had the charisma, or the exuberence that Emmitt Smith had. The right man won! Emmitt Smith won! And by the way, i say this as a fan of DWTS, not as a football fan because I hate football and never heard of Emmitt Smith before DWTS. Emmitt let his true personality come out on the dance floor and that’s why he won! HE was Awesome!
