Simple Life star Nicole Richie was arrested in Los Angeles early Monday morning under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Two motorists called 911 when they reportedly spotted Nicole driving the wrong way on the 134 Freeway.

TMZ.com is reporting that Nicole admitted to being under the influence of marijuana and Vicodin. Her reps were not commenting at the time of this post.

This is a sad turn of events for the reality star. Nicole, who was arrested for heroin possession in 2003, seemed to have her life back on track -- on track when it comes to drugs, that is. The 5' 1" star came under scrutiny this year for something unrelated to drugs -- her dramatic weight loss. Nicole's booking sheet revealed that she weighs 85 pounds.

Nicole reportedly hired celebrity lawyer Howard Weitzman after her arrest this morning. She is free on $15,000 bail.
