Yul Kwon Wins Survivor
Survivor: Cook Islands started out with four racially segregated tribes -- an Asian American-tribe, an African-American tribe, a Caucasian tribe, and a Hispanic tribe. It ended Sunday night with an Asian-American contestant battling it out with a Hispanic contestant. But forget about race!
What matters is that Survivor: Cook Islands came down to two strong competitors. And Yul Kwon, a 31-year-old management consultant, was the man who was crowned the winner.
Kwon, who hold degrees from Stanford University and Yale Law School, is $1 million richer though Ozzy Lusth came mighty close to winning the prize. Jeff Probst even said "It's the first time I've ever felt bad that somebody didn't win. It was so evenly matched."

Yay for Yul! I would also have been happy for Ozzie to win. Both were fantastic and each deserved the win. Yul played the strategic game perfectly AND as a gentleman. Ozzie simply IS a Survivor - a food provider and a Challenge god. Combined, they were able to battle impossible odds for 4-person Aitu to beat the 8-person Raro. And props to Jonathan for flip-flopping logically. Really, I think I hated 3/4 of the jury, which makes it even more satisfying that it came down to Yul and Ozzie.
