I have a plan. I'm going to get tickets to an American Idol performance show, sit near the front, and then bawl my eyes out when my favorite male contestant, Blake Lewis, performs. I'm hoping I'll get lots of camera time and hugs from all of the contestants at the end of the show...I know. I know. So maybe it wouldn't work for me. But it certainly did work for a hilarious preteen named Ashley who was shown crying through most of Tuesday night's Idol, especially during Sanjaya Malakar's performance of "You've Really Got Me."

Sanjaya really did get us -- We thought he was going to flop like every other week and he surprised us by giving an energetic, (dare I say good?) performance. Of course, he wasn't as good as Melinda Doolittle, Lakisha Jones, Chris Richardson, or Blake Lewis, but I've got to say that when you consider the weeping preteen and Sanjaya deciding to unleash his inner rock star, he had the night's best (or at least the night's most memorable) performance.
