Chris Richardson Discusses Girlfriends and His Best Friend
During a press call on Thursday, Chris Richardson addressed the rumors that he is dating The Hills star Lauren Conrad. The eliminated American Idol contestant told reporters "I just got out of a three-and-a-half year relationship back home. That’s about it. All of the other rumors that are going on, all of that stuff was just rumors. Those people are just my friends and they’re acquaintances. But other than that, I’m pretty much single, but still respecting the fact that I just got out of a relationship with my girlfriend."Chris doesn't have a girlfriend, but we all know he has a best friend -- Idol finalist Blake Lewis.
"It started in Hollywood week," Chris said. "It was just one of those things where you just sort of click with somebody. Me and him had a lot of common with music taste and music style, personality traits, and loyalty to friendship. So it was just one of those things where we just bonded."
The best buds even discussed their song choices every week.
"[Blake] would ask for my opinion on things, and I would always tell him. In song choices, we would always go over song choices, but, really, Blake did his thing and I did my thing. He would always ask for my opinion, but really, it was all on him. He’s very talented at what he does. Best of luck to him."

I was very upset to see that the bottom 2 was either Blake or Chris leaving because they are my favs. When they said Chris your going home. I was in tears right away. I said to myself at least Blake is safe or I would have stoped watching the show. Chris is awesome and amazing. I am going to miss him. I hope the top 2 is Jordin and Blake this year.
Chris and Blake are easily the best to watch this year. Everyone is still up in arms and boycotting the show about Melinda going home. I felt the same way had it been Blake the other night and not her. AI is NEVER going to make a big R&B or whatever the hell type of music Melinda wants to focus on…when was the last time anyone’s heard of Ruben? Exactly. Jordin doesn’t quite have the performance or ability to conform that Blake does. I really feel that Blake has it now. I wish Chris was still there…I miss him to death! Although he went home, Chris along with Blake are easily going to be the most successful of the finalists! Can’t wait for some albums from them!
