Paris Hilton Going to Jail

Friday May 4, 2007
And she thought the simple life was unglamorous!

Simple Life star Paris Hilton will get a taste of the jailbird life beginning June 5. The hotel heiress and Hollywood party girl was sentenced to 45 days in LA County jail on Friday.

Paris is being punished for violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. After her much-talked-about arrest in September 2006, she was caught driving with a suspended license in January. In February, she was caught speeding and driving without headlights.

Prosecutors released the following statement to TMZ.com : "City Attorney Delgadillo believes today's ruling sends a clear message that in the City of Los Angeles, no one is above the law."

Paris has been filming a new season of her reality show, The Simple Life.

Paiis should go to jail. She is just another spoiled brat who thinks she should have special care and handling. As one who has a severely handicapped wife, as a result of a drunken driver. I think she got off lightly. Since she must believe the law applies to all but her she needs a good dose of reality. Maybe daddy should take away her ca for a while and make her use cabs or better yet public transport.

Paris must be terrified at the thought of spending time in jail, but she could have killed someone. She’s not a kid anymore and it’s about time she took responsibility for her life. She needs to grow up. Emotionally, she’s a little girl who thinks by saying “I’m sorry” everything will be alright. Well, think of all the people who drove drunk, killed someone and said, “I’m sorry”. “Sorry” doesn’t bring those people back. Paris should thank God it wasn’t any worse than it is. At least no one died or got hurt because of her actions. Including her. So, to conclude, I hope she learns from this. She’s 26—an adult. It’s about time she started acting like one. Her mother should also realize a few things, too. If she and her husband had taught Paris some values, maybe Paris wouldn’t be in this position now.
