Today's reality TV lesson: Never give up!
Jaslene, a 20-year-old aspiring model who didn't make it past the first round of America's Next Top Model 7, is now the winner of America's Next Top Model 8!
On Wednesday night's season finale, top three contenders Renee and Natasha did well in the final challenges. But Renee was criticized for looking old and was eliminated first. Natasha, on the other hand, was praised for being beautiful and bubbly -- but it turns out the judges were looking for fabulous and fierce!
Tyra said in her closing remarks "Jaslene is the real deal. It's her spicy personality that sets her apart. But more importantly, Jaslene is fierce!"

i think natasha should of won because she did it for her family and to prove herself that even if you come from a different country you still can do what you dreamed for and i think it is unfair that jaslene was on the last season and she knew what to do and she had advice while she was on the last cycle

I am pretty much consistently dissapointed with the outcome of this show. They send Renee home because she looks “older” and doesn’t have “the freshest face”. Okay…she looks the same as she did in the beginning. Why would it have changed? She made it all that way and made all of that progress for nothing?
I was pulling for Natasha in the finale, and have been for most of this season. I feel like the judges choose the people they do NOT because they’re the best, but because having “edgier” models appeals to the masses.
Also, I’d just like to say that Naima was the absolute worst choice for the winner in season 4.
I am so proud of Jaslene and I know she will represent Chicago well. She is a fierce, spicy, latina who is very beautiful. I am tired of people being jealous. About time another minority won and not a pale and old looking chick. Nicole and Yohanna were the ugliest, skinny and pale looking winners i’ve ever seen. Congrats to Jaslene
I am totally disappointed, Natasha was clearly the winner. She was gorgeous. After all those weeks of anticipation and Jaslene wins??????? What were they thinking? I am sorry but this just was not right. Natasha made a few mistakes maybe but her photos,personality,and attitude made her the winner.All the girls knew she was the real model here. She was way ahead of the pack. Sorry but won’t be watching this waste of time again.

Go Jaslene!! Your determination took you there. Others should learn from this. All who say Jaslene is the worst winner are idiots. A model should be able to tell a story both in pics and on runway. Jaslene has showed for the last 13 weeks that she can do both. Renee can’t walk and she looks old, she may look good on filmn (telelvision) but will she only do commericials? Natasha I liked her look too and she is a better walker than Renee but she was no Jaslene. For worst winner in ANTM, I think that title is shared by Nicole and Caridee…blah!!!

I didn’t agree with the judges decision at all. I thought Natasha should’ve won. She’s gorgeous, she’s works hard, she has the personality… on top of that, she improves the most!

For those of you that seem to think that Natasha should’ve won over Jaslene, maybe you should go back and watch the whole season. Yes, Natasha is a very beautiful woman, and she did improve a lot, but there were still times when she made stupid decisions (jumping in the water @ the party) and had a very hard time understanding what photographers needed from her in photo shoots. Jaslene was sure never to make mistakes like that. She learned from her previous mistakes and came back stronger! I honestly feel that Natasha and Renee are going to have careers in modeling no matter what anyway, so congrats to all three.

Natasha should have won. Although I am Boricua, I don’t condone anyone to behave the way she did. Jasleen showed her true colors when she spoke harshly about Natasha, she apparently thought she was a threat. Natasha remained humble throughout and never was rude. Natasha has a look that will last and though she has an accent, she is not ignorant. Jasleen is very ignorant and I believe a speech impediment and has a look that will get tired. And, doesn’t The Rock have a patent on that look anyways?!

Jaslene was awesome and the harsh words she did mention were not out of spite or meanness– they were the truth. Natasha was freakin’ wierd and not even that pretty…oh and by the way…Jaslene did not even get past the first round of cycle 7, so saying that she had an advantage is false…#1 commenter should know what she is talking about before making those accusations…
And Natasha DID make ugly comments about the other girls…she said that they weren’t pretty and also said that the girls’ families were not as good looking as hers when they got visits from their kids! And when she was talking on the phone to her husband??? WTF??? She couldn’t have gone into some other room for privacy..ICK!!!

I could have told you Jaslene would win a year ago. But they didn’t let her on the show. I was shocked. But once she got on this year it was clear those chicas were dead in the agua from day uno! They never had a chance. It was basically Jaslene’s title to loose and she didn’t. History told me she would win. Tyra always pick youth over talent. That’s why they got rid of Rene. Natasha is funny, personable and would make a great tv host or snake oil saleman. But Jaslene is a model baby. Through and through. She takes great pictures and can walk her butt off. I love Jaslene, I really do. But Tyra contradicts herself. I do think Jaslene is fierce and spicy, but if Tyra really feels this way then why was Jaslene eliminated in the previous cycle?
I think Natasha should have won! She is beautiful, humble and sincere. Jaslene did not make a good job. Her pics improved at the last minute, but she is an uneduacted woman. She is not a good representative of the Latin Culure at all. It’s time to break the stereotypes about latin women. Most of us, we have brains!

I believe the overall winner should have been Renee. She has the beauty and style that makes her a winner. As for her looking OLD…no way. The judges were blind. Renee you will go far in your career. Don’t give up. As for the finale, I believe Natasha should have won over Jaslene. Natasha was a shining star on the runway.
Natasha’s baby fat was giggling on the runway. She always has a stupid look on her face, stands hunched-back and looks a lot older than Renee. Renee should’ve been in the final two but Jaslene is the clear winner. Versatility is key in modelling and that is Jaslene.
Jaslene deserved it. Natasha was great in pictures but when it came to doing commercials she hard a real hard time, especially in the last covergirl commercial. It was not her best, and thats y Jaslene won over Natasha.

Oh my goodness. I am so glad that Jaslene won. She is so cute and cool. I’m also glad that she gets to represent the Hispanic race in a great way. I can’t believe that another minority won. It’s great that the judges are choosing from different ethnic backgrounds. My heart also goes out to Renee and Natasha. They both represented themselves and their families well. This has been one of the best season’s ever!!
