They didn't win the shiny trophy on the Dancing With the Stars finale, but Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson are winners in the eyes of their fans -- including Jerry Springer, who teamed up with Kym during season three of Dancing With the Stars.

When I asked Jerry what it was like to watch his former partner go all the way to the finals with another celebrity, the new host of America's Got Talent joked:

"She leaves me for a younger man – fine, I’m not bitter about it...Obviously when she was with me, she couldn’t really dance, she couldn’t really move. Her responsibility when she was with me was to make sure at the end of the dance that I was still vertical. Now she dances with a young guy who could actually move and it was totally different. It gave her a chance to show that [she can dance] so I’m glad she got that opportunity.

All kidding aside, Jerry says he's proud of Joey and Kym.

"I think she did great. I think he did great," he said. "I enjoyed them."
