I remember rolling my eyes when I first heard about the Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants premise a few months ago. (On the upcoming CW reality series, mother-daughter teams will face various challenges while preparing for a beauty pageant). But now,  I say bring on the pageant fun!  Here's why I'm looking forward to Crowned:

1.) The CW announced that Shanna Moakler and Carson Kresly are judges.  Shanna, of course, is the former Miss USA turned Playboy Playmate, rock star wife, Paris Hilton rival, and Dancing With the Stars participant.  Carson Kresley is the style guru from Queer Eye For the Straight Guy. 

2.)  There's $100,000 at stake, which means we can look forward to plenty of un-beauty-queen-like behavior as the teams compete for the cash.

3.)  Beginning December 19, the show will replace America's Next Top Model on the CW's Wednesday night schedule -- and we needed a show to distract us while Tyra and Miss J are away! 

Crowned will premiere December 12, after the season finale of America's Next Top Model.
