The Soul Patrollers won't be happy about this.

American Idol 5 winner Taylor Hicks has been dropped from J Records after his disappointing performance on the music charts. Ouch!

And Taylor isn't the only Idol winner to get kicked to the curb by J Records.  Ruben Studdard, who recorded a couple disappointing albums on J, was also dropped from the label before the new year. Our Velvet Teddy Bear probably needs a hug.

But in better news, Taylor plans to record another album on his own and Ruben will join the national tour of the Broadway musical Ain't Misbehavin'.  We wish our Idol boys well.
