American Idol Thoughts
The results are in. American Idol 's first eliminated contestants are Colton Berry, Joanne Borgella, Amy Davis and Garrett Haley. While their performances weren't exactly memorable this week, it's still a bit sad that we didn't get to see more from these four singers. If they were chosen for the top 24, they must be the best of the best, right? Actually, maybe not. How crazy was it when Simon Cowell told Colton Berry to find a good job and quit pursuing the music thing? Ouch! The judges built up Colton's confidence by putting him in the top 24, only for Simon to stomp on his dreams during his final moments on the show. That's American Idol, for ya!
From my judges' seat on my living room couch, I think the person who most deserved another shot was Joanne Borgella. Judging from the audition rounds, she was capable of so much more than she gave us on Tuesday night. Oh, well! One thing we've learned after watching American Idol year after year is that the hopefuls have to give 100 percent every time they step on the stage -- especially at this early stage of the competition.

I think the right choice was made for the guys. Colton and Garrett both performed poorly and I don’t think they had it in them to be be idol material. As for the girls, I thought that vote would be a crap shoot. There were a few goods ones and then everyone else. There were 8 or 9 girls that I thought could have gotten the ax. I can’t say Amy and Joanne were the wrong choices but I also can’t say they weren’t idol material. Had they not been voted out they may have turned out to be quality performers in later episodes.
Ok well I do think that the right pple left, and with the guys I think it was right, but I cant really say anything cuz I never have voted… Im going to try tho soon…. Hit me up on www.myspace.com/alwayspimpette
