The American Idol Top 9 Will Sing Songs By Dolly Parton

Thursday March 27, 2008
Can David Cook put a rock spin on a song by Dolly Parton? Guess we'll find out next week! The remaining nine American Idol finalists will sing hit songs by the country music queen on Tuesday night. (It should be a great week for Kristy Lee Cook, don't cha think?)

Dolly will also serve as a celebrity mentor, helping the contestants get ready for their Tuesday night performances. Then on Wednesday night's results show, she will perform “Jesus & Gravity,” the second single from her new album “Backwoods Barbie.”

Also performing next week will be The Clark Brothers, the bluegrass/country band that won The Next Great American Band (the Idol spin-off show that most of us forgot to watch).

The Clark Brothers will probably give an exciting performance next week, they have more intensity than some oil companies have profits. The Next Great American Band show was a cooler show than Idol, too bad it was buried on Friday nights when everyone is long gone out the door.

David Cook singing a Dolly Parton song. I am sure he can figure it out…they both look alike anyway (minus the boobs) Go David Archuleta. He is my American Idol.

David Cook will continue to do well.
Post (2) remark was really stupid.
