New Emmy Category Created for Reality TV Hosts
And the Emmy goes to...Ryan Seacrest?
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Board of Governors has voted to add a new Emmy award category for "Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program."
According to the academy's rules, the reality TV host category is meant for "the proactive 'master of ceremony' host and does not include reactive participants or judges." That means reality TV hosts including Ryan Seacrest, Tom Bergeron, Jeff Probst, and Phil Keoghan could go home with a golden statue when the Emmys are handed out in September.
Now, the question is -- Which host deserves it the most?
