American Idol is down to the final four!  Brooke White was eliminated on Wednesday night, leaving Syesha Mercado, Jason Castro, David Cook, and David Archuleta to battle it out for the season seven title.  Brooke's emotional exit (boy,did she cry a river!) came after performances by Natasha Bendingfield and celebrity mentor Neil Diamond. 

But the most memorable part of the night was the usually-lame live caller segment.  Simon got a call from the first girl he ever kissed -- when he was nine years old!  "Do you still look cute?" he joked.  And the show couldn't go on without Ryan addressing the Paula mess from the night before.  "The rumors aren't true," he said. (OK, Ryan.  Now that you've cleared that up, we'll stop talking about it -- not!)

Next week, the final four will perform songs from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
