Bachelor Breakup News: Matt and Shayne Call It Quits

After a short-lived engagement, Bachelor couple Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas have called it quits! The aspiring actress and the British businessman confirmed the split in a statement to People magazine. The statement reads "We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions. We truly care about each other and will remain close friends."
It wasn't too long ago that the couple claimed their relationship was still going strong when they were interviewed during a Bachelor update special. Despite their denials that there was trouble in the relationship, media reports claimed things weren't working out for the new couple.
Even though Matt moved from England to live with Shayne in Los Angeles, he ended up moving out of her condo because they needed space. Then there were the reports that Shayne cheated on Matt with another man.
Some Bachelor fans always believed that Shayne, the daughter of actor Lorenzo Llamas, was more interested in furthering her acting career than finding love. Not long after the show's finale aired, Girls Gone Wild Magazine featured a sexy photo spread of Shayne. In one photo, she is holding a bouquet and wearing only a veil. Guess that's the only wedding veil she'll be wearing any time soon.

LOL I love what Karen said. The bottom line is you’re in enclosed environment with the same people every day for three months, of course feelings are going to develop it’s when you leave that complex that the test of “love” is presented. I think the only reason why Trista and Ryan have lasted this long because they were truly looking for something real and they were ready. If you’re not ready to be in a relationship and share your life with someone and make a real commitment, the relationship will ever work out.
He was an idiot for picking her in the first place. It was obvious she was ditzy and shallow, not to mention a rich little spoiled brat.
