Joshua Allen Is The Winner of So You Think You Can Dance

After nearly 60 million votes, hip-hop dancer Joshua Allen, 19, is the winner of So You Think You Can Dance 4! Joshua, the first untrained dancer to win So You Think You Can Dance, was crowned America's Favorite Dancer at the end of an exciting finale that included encore performances of season four's best dance numbers, a performance by the Jonas Brothers, and the return of some of the show's best dancers from all four seasons. Judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy even showed off some moves during two surprise performances.
The moment everybody was waiting for was the crowning of the new So You Think You Can Dance champ. It was between top four finalist Courtney Galiano, Katee Shean, Twitch Boss, and Joshua Allen. The first finalist eliminated during the finale was Courtney, who gave an emotional farewell speech promising that youth will not be wasted on her. The second finalist eliminated was Katee, who received the good news that for the first time, a prize would be awarded to both the top guy and the top girl. She is going home with a $50,000 check.
In four seasons, an untrained "street" dancer has never made it to the finale of So You Think You Can Dance. But this year, it came down to two talented hip-hop dancers who have had no formal training, Twitch Boss and Joshua Allen. Kat Deeley announced that after almost 60 million votes, Joshua was the winner.
Joshua was filled with emotion as he told the crowd, "Never let anybody tell you that you can't do something...With God, you can do anything."
Joshua's prize is $250,000, the title of America's Favorite Dancer, and a featured dance role in an upcoming Adam Shankman film.

What an AWESOME Season 4!!! Joshua so deserved to win. But I really thought Katee should have been in the top 2 vs. it being Twitch. Then again, we would not have been able to watch her phenomenal season in review and give her, her 5-minutes of kudos, standing ovation + $50K. So her 3rd was really like coming in 2nd. . .JMHO I also thought Cat Deeley was a GREAT host, kinda the den-Mum for her ‘babies’.
They keep saying he’s untrained – but in some web postings I have read that he has taken some classes
So… I new he was going to win!!! I was so excited when he did. It’s also kinda bad in a way (for me) cause I live in his area and now i’ll probably never get to meet him… he’s famous now.
