Comedian Margaret Cho is the latest celebrity to bring her real life to VH1..well, her real life plus some "imaginative situations."This is how VH1 describes The Cho Show, which will premiere Thursday, August 21 at 11:00 pm:
Each half-hour of The Cho Show blends Margaret's real life with some imaginative and comical situations that touch upon all aspects of Margaret's anything goes lifestyle. From the complicated and awkward moments with her somewhat traditional Korean parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cho, to the more irreverent and outrageous experiences shared with her colorful cast of friends and colleagues, The Cho Show invites viewers into Margaret/s unique reality.

Interesting. It comes full circle. Now reality television is openly admitting to really being nothing but constructed and fictitious.
Cho, in her day, was funny and insightful. Too bad. One wonders how seriously these fallen performers take themselves when they go for the unscripted. I guess the death knell for Cho’s comedy was her appearance on Celebrity Family Fued, a way of reintroducing her to the world of television. Is Leguizamo next?
