Checking In With Constantine Maroulis
Remember Constantine Maroulis -- the American Idol 4 contestant whose smoldering looks to the camera either mesmerized us or annoyed us every week? In case you're wondering what the multitalented singer has been up to lately, I contacted Constantine via email to find out about life after his memorable Idol season, which is currently highlighted on American Idol Rewind!
Here's what Constantine had to say:
What are you up to these days?
I have been very lucky to do a myriad of different work. Currently starring in "Rock of Ages", a sick new musical in NYC. If I sang this well on Idol I would have been unstoppable! Lol
Do you have any regrets about your time on the show?
Noooo...I try not to have any regrets, life is too short. I think if I had seen the show before competing, things would have been different for me. Maybe some of the song choices were not the best. I WOULD say that I think most people have a rather strong impression of me from Idol (good or bad) and I think when they get to know me in real life they are usually very surprised.
Do you keep in touch with other contestants?
I do.
Do you still tune in every season?
Because lots of TV hosting gigs have come my way these last few years I do tune in for work and have myself become a big fan.
What advice do you have for future Idol contestants?
Know who you are. Find a song you really connect with that tells a story. Mean what you are singing. Have fun.

Constantine has kept his fans extremely happy throughout his post idol career. We still support him unfailingly. His new musical, Rock of Ages was like going to NYC to see a show and finding the fountain of youth! If you’re looking for a rockin, feel good show, check it out!
I was intrigued with Season 4 Idol contestant Constantine Maroulis from my first accidental encounter with his charismatic stage personality and unique voice on a tv screen nearly 4 years ago. Of all the contestants in the top ten, he was the one who appealed most to both my inner rocker and theater geek.
Since then, I have followed the career of this talented guy from solo tour to debut CD to Broadway to soaps to television host and now back to the NYC stage in his first original role as the lead in the hilariously feel-good musical romp through the music of the 80’s, Rock of Ages. The Rolling stone review of the new hit musical proclaimed that “this show has found the perfect lead in Constantine Maroulis,” and I couldn’t agree more. His versatile acting and vocal skills
continue to shine on.
I love this man! I have been infatuated with him for 4 years now! Thanks so much for mentioning the brilliance that is CONSTANTINE JAMES MAROULIS in your blog! I can never get enough of this man.
