So You Think You Can Dance Finalists Talk About Making it to the Top 10
Friday July 10, 2009
So, the So You Think You Can Dance Top 10 was revealed on Thursday night -- and poor Caitlin and Phillip aren't in it. That's right. Caitlin Kinney and Phillip Chbeeb were the unlucky dancers eliminated this week, leaving ten finalists to battle it out for the SYTYCD grand prize. As you can imagine, the remaining finalists are doing the happy dance now that they are officially in the top 10 Here's what they had to say after hearing the news:Kupono Aweau: "Freakin' ridiculous! It is absolutely amazing to be part of the Top 10!"
Brandon Bryant: "Amazing in every way. Just being able to share what I love with the world is unbelievable in itself."
Randi Evans: "It's one of my greatest accomplishments! I have worked my whole life training and preparing myself for something like this. It means making my family proud, and also means opening doors to many more opportunities with dance. I'm ready and extremely grateful for whatever comes my way."
Jason Glover: "It means something more to me than I could ever begin to explain or think about because I have struggled for years to get to a point where I could stand on my own as a dancer. Now doing it in front of America on the cusp of my dreams is the most awesome thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life."
Evan Kasprzak: "Amazing. It will continue to push me as a dancer and will fuel my desire to achieve more."
Janette Manrara: "Freedom. I've been wanting to get away from the corporate world and into a world where I freely express myself through what I love to do most: dance. Life passes us by faster than we know, and being able to live it free from barriers is the best life anyone can ask for."
Jeanine Mason: "Embarking on the greatest journey of my life. It means touring this country and meeting the people that inspire my movement. It means accomplishing something I never thought was possible. It means living my dream."
Ade Obayomi: "FIRE! It's been a great experience so far and going further will be incredible!! It's life-changing!"
Kayla Radomski: "It means everything to me. I have worked so hard my entire life to get to where I am today, and it shows all my hard work has paid off. I really cannot begin to explain how much making the Top 10 means to me."
Melissa Sandvig: "It means the world to me. I'm proud of myself and proud that classical ballet was brought to the show. It's also an amazing feeling knowing that America is voting for me as a person and as a dancer."
