Reality TV's Richest Host is...Ryan Seacrest!
Ryan Seacrest has reportedly closed a three-year deal that will make him the richest host on reality television!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the emcee will be paid $15 million per year to host American Idol. Under the $45 million contract, he agrees to work exclusively with CPX (the parent company of American Idol production company 19 Entertainment) for all of his primetime broadcast television work in the next three years.
Ryan is still free to anchor cable's E! News, host his radio own show, produce reality shows like Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and continue with all of the other side projects that have been adding to the 34-year-old bachelor's bank account.
Who knew introducing those Idol performances and talking back to Simon Cowell on stage could lead to such success? We bet Brian Dunkleman, who quit Idol after season one, is kicking himself right now.
