Snookie Gets Punched In the Face on Next Week's Episode of Jersey Shore

From Latoya West, About.com GuideDecember 11, 2009

Follow me on:

Just when you thought Jersey Shore couldn't get more outrageous, a preview for next week's episode shows pint-sized cast member Snookie getting punched by a guy in a bar.

Snookie is shown talking trash to some guy (who isn't a cast member) and he reacts by punching her in the face. See the video here. She falls to the floor and the guy gets hauled off to jail. Wow! There was nothing entertaining about watching Snookie get punched in the face, no matter how annoying she can be. And some people are saying there's nothing entertaining about this controversial show in general.

Italian Americans are mad because the Italian-American cast is encouraging negative stereotypes, the Jersey Shore tourism board is mad that it doesn't represent the Jersey Shore well, and some viewers are mad that the cast is a poor representation of young people in general. But what do you think of Jersey Shore so far? Is it as bad as everyone is saying? Let me know in the poll!

I love this show. Not because I like quidos, or guidettes, but because it’s fun to see how full of themselves they are. They walk around like they are god’s gift to the world. In the first episode, 90% of them pulled up to the house in $40,000+ cars, and they are in their 20’s. It’s ridiculous. That is why I watch. haha

I beg to differ. Everything is funny about her getting punched in the face. Although she shouldnt get special treatment. There is violence all over that show and yet no one cares. The only time they care is when this chick gets hit.

Also the poll results show just how stupid people are. I cant believe this show is as popular as is it.

The show represents a lot of young adults’ today; Drama hungry, selfish, and materialistic. As long as the show has sex, violence and some nudity we will continue to watch and be entertained. It’s the sad reality of it.

How come the wonderful Italian Americans weren’t upset by Growing up Gotti”? Is it b/c they were afraid of getting wacked or because they idolize the family? Still the same Guido’s doing th same crap

I think the show is missing more moments like this. I mean what do we really want to see, people this disgusting getting punched in the face. I mean I would rather see every episode consisting of at least two of the cast members getting hit. They should have hired some out of work boxers for each episode to sucker punch the cast. Even if they just had a room like the confession room where all the cast members and maybe even some random jersey shore party goers receive there daily dose humility.

I live at the Jersey Shore but the Southern Jersey Shore (Cape May County). We get people like these in the summer when they are imported from central Jersey and further north as far as NYC. Unfortunately its a pretty good generalization of the characters you find there. Note I said Generalization. Every society has its own characteristics and shared beliefs, traditions and behaviors. This is where we get stereotypes.

I would rather have red hot needles driven into my eyelids than go North, its that obnoxious. A lot of the people you see on vids of Jersey are Central/North Jersey or tourists from NYC and Philly. Watching the show the two times I have made me queasy, it was like having summer at the shore thrust upon me six months too early.
