The So You Think You Can Dance Top 11 has been revealed!
The show originally intended to have a top ten cast for season seven, but producers decided to make room for dancer Billy Bell. The talented dancer was also chosen for the show last year, but he left the competition because of an illness. Billy will compete in season seven against Alexie Agdeppa, Kent Boyd, Lauren Froderman, Ashley Galvan, Robert Roldan, Jose Ruiz, Cristina Santana, Melinda Sullivan, Adechike Torbert, and Alex Wong. I watched last nights episode and was crushed. I thought that Anthony was a great dancer giving he had an injuy. I was really looking forward to watching him this season on the show and was very dissappointed to hear that he didn’t make it. The show has a lot of great dancers and those that were picked did their best can’t be mad at that.
But how can you judge someone give them such a compliment but then don’t choose them? I heard last night most of the judges say that there is very little room for the contemporary dancers, but Anthony is one that should have been picked.
I feel the show is looking for dancers who they can shape and mold and thats fine, cause it does help the hip hop dancer or the jazz, ball room dancer learn more styles. Those who were chosen did their thang. I am just left at Awe.
I was really disappointed at last night’s episode. It’s beyond my comprehension that the judges could not find ONE black female to compete. Not since Sabre has there been a black female. Judges…in order to inspire, children look for those who look like them….
I was really disappointed and thought they made some wrong decisions on some of the dancers that were chosen. I am very dissappointed and truly enjoyed last seasons picks not sure I will watch it that closely this year.
I am disappointed about Anthony not being in the top 10 he really deserved to be there. I hope he trys again next season
I agree all the guys picked are great but I also thought Anthony would have been picked because he is just as good as Billy and alex
Ever since Anthony never made it in the top 10/11 I feel like watching the show is pointless. How can you choose dancers who need to time to “grow” in their talent, and place them on a show based on the premise that those trying out have to be at the top of their game talent wise? The comments from the judges alone proved that he was practically far too talented to even be in the competition – male or female, he was the best dancer this season – and yet those with poor extensions and other technical flaws made it to the top spots? This is the biggest “rigging” since Bush was voted into office!
