Let's hope the second season of Jersey Shore is a smashing success. If the show loses its appeal, MTV might regret greenlighting a third season of the show starring Snooki, the Situation, and the rest of the cast...and not to mention raising their salaries.
On Tuesday, the network officially announced that Jersey Shore would return to Seaside Heights with the original cast for season three. "MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on Season 3," the network said. "Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them."
See how much you remember about season one.
Reports claim that MTV nearly tripled the cast's $10,000 per episode salary to keep them fistpumping for one more season. There were rumors that the cast went on strike before reaching a new deal with the network.
Before the cast heads back to Seaside Heights, we will watch their party adventures in Miami when season two begins on Thursday, July 29.

Yessss
I think if there is a third season there should be more roomates hooking up within the house instead of random ppl being brought back to the house. It would be more drama and more intriguing!
I think Sammie and Ronnie should be off the show. Their relationship is what has broken the “family” dynamic up. They spend way too much time alone, which means there is no interacting with the other housemates. And their fights, esp. the one involving the note have caused a rift that has not healed. New people should be brought in to replace them and Angelina, since she isn’t coming back so there are 4 boys and 4 girls to interact. the story lines are getting too boring, with only five people. Sammie and Ronnie are one big bore any way, I think they would still be boring single. The kids need to act more like they care about each other.
Love the J wow and the Snookster …..I am so sick of Ronnie and Sam drama they are played out the fame wagon has come and gone with those two !!!!!
