10-year-old classical singer Jackie Evancho wowed the America's Got Talent judges on Tuesday night and emerged as the contestant to watch in NBC's talent competition. The fourth grader from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania received a standing ovation after her outstanding performance of "O Mio Babbino Caro." At times, it was hard to believe the young singer wasn't lip-syncing to an adult's voice.

Talent producers discovered Jackie on You Tube, but it seems she was already doing big things before being selected for the show. Her website states:
"Jackie has caught the attention of many in the music industry including the legendary David Foster and American Conductor/Composer, Tim Janis. She has performed on stage with David Foster, has sung for politicians, appeared on a PBS special, sang the national anthem at the 2010 home opener for MLB's Pittsburgh Pirates, and will be performing at Carnegie Hall in Dec 2010."

I was checking all morning to see if you’d post about this. Wow, wow, wow! What an amazing talent. She brought tear to me eyes. To think that she has only been singing for a little over 2 years. She will be receiving all of my votes till the end. She is, I think, now, the hands-down favorite to win this competition. I bought her self-produced debut CD today from iTunes. She is such a talent.
WOW … brought tears to my eyes AMAZING TALENT in the cutest little girl!!!
Holy cow!!! This girl has it all-good for her. She is adorable, humble, and has the voice of a seasoned adult. Great to know there are still some awesomely positive things in the nutty world.
