Just as Jersey Shore's Snooki adamantly denied her pregnancy only to finally acknowledge her baby bump; so too has Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino repeatedly insisted that he hasn't been in rehab--only to admit he wasn't being entirely honest.
"I want to set the record straight. I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion," Sorrentino posted on Facebook Wednesday.
Tuesday, gossip news hounds TMZ had reported Sorrentino was at an unidentified facility for an unspecified substance abuse problem. But Sorrentino and his representative quickly denied the report.
"He is not in rehab for substance abuse," Sorrentino's representative told RadarOnline. "He has spent the last several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule."
Meanwhile Sorrentino wrote on Twitter, "Don't believe everything you read or hear."
"Do NOT Believe Everything You Hear, Especially from TMZ," he added later, following a new TMZ report that Sorrentino had shown signs of substance abuse last summer, during the filming of Jersey Shore's recent fifth season.
But now Sorrentino has admitted the truth, "I have spent the past several weeks getting treatment for this problem and recuperating from my work and appearance schedule," he said in his Facebook post.
