Last night's episode of Top Chef Masters was shocking on a number of levels:
- One of the season's front-runners was eliminated
- In a season dominated by big personalities, a quiet wall-flower won immunity when two other front-runners were disqualified from a challenge
- Those front-runners were then bested by a chef they'd been dissing moments before.
I was disappointed to see Takashi Yagihashi go home (and earlier, the delightful Art Smith) and surprised that TCM producers gave away immunity so late in the game, especially in a challenge that revolved more around the weight of the chefs' steaks then the flavor of their dishes.
But I like surprises and this episode had them in spades. Now only two episodes remain before the finale and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Meet the four finalists of Top Chef Masters Season Four, find out who I think is most likely to win and catch the rest of the show on Bravo, Wednesdays 10/9PM Central.
