These contestants are competing to become the lead singer of the new band Supernova. Supernova is made up of drummer Tommy Lee (Motley Crüe), bassist Jason Newsted (Metallica), and guitarist Gilby Clarke (Guns N' Roses). Rock Star: Supernova premieres on Wednesday, July 5 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT).

Rock Star SuperNova appears to have lined up some real talent and professional singers. Unlike the 16 -18 years old American Idol Like competitors.

watched the first episode last night, twas pretty good…all the contestants had quality thus the outstandin ones like Rossi and Tobi Rand really stood out even more. think even the band themselves were pretty taken w the general quality on display.
