Dancing With The Stars Participants Will Be Announced on GMA

Wednesday August 9, 2006

The latest Dancing With The Stars participants will be announced Monday morning on Good Morning America. A commercial hyping the GMA announcement says the new group of celebrities will include a movie star, a talk show icon, a TV heartthrob, a country music star, a football legend, and a teen idol.

We already know who the movie star is because actress Vivica A. Fox blabbed to a magazine that she would "drop it like it's hot" during the upcoming season. And if the rumors are true, the mystery teen idol may be former Saved By The Bell star Mario Lopez.

Another rumored participant is the hubby of Season 2's Lisa Rinna, former LA Law actor Harry Hamlin. He may be the one ABC is referring to as the tv heartthrob -- though he was named People Magazine's sexiest man almost 20 years ago!

If you're a View watcher, you're probably wondering if the talk show icon will be Barbara Walters. She's always trying to get some poor celeb to dance with her when they appear on The View. And on several occasions, her cohosts have joked that she should sign up of for the show. But maybe Barbara is too busy with all of the View controversy to compete on Dancing With The Stars.

Either way, this Dancing With the Stars addict can't wait for the GMA announcement and the new season of the show, which kicks off on Tuesday, September 12th at 8 pm.
