I spoke with eliminated Top Model contestant Jael about her experience on the show. Here are some excerpts from the interview.

Hi Jael. Congrats on making it so far in the competition. What was the best part of the experience?

The best part of the experience was to be able to be presented to the world and have a voice. I shared a lot of positivity with the world and I really got to express myself, who I truly am…and I had such a wonderful experience with all the girls on the show. It was great to create wonderful friendships and I learned so much about modeling, the industry, and I was exposed to so many different people. It was wonderful.

What was the worst part?

The worst part of the experience was…we’re not allowed to talk when the cameras aren’t on. And sometimes that would last for four hours at a time. Most of the room is silent until they start filming again. It really, really drove me crazy.

If you could have done one thing over on the show, what would it be?

Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I have no regrets at all. ..

What did you think about the reasons the judges gave for eliminating you?

I know I did a really bad job with the commercial. I tried but that’s not me. I’m not that bubbly Cover Girl. I did try but I can’t be a poser. I just have to be myself.

What would your ideal modeling career be like? And what’s your dream magazine cover?

My dream modeling career would be to do high fashion and I would like to do exotic, artistic photos. I’m really not interested in doing commercial [modeling] because I don’t think that suits me. Italian Vogue would be real hot if I could score a cover of that.

Who are you rooting for to win the competition?

I like to say that we are all winners, but Brittany is a really close friend of mine so I’m really rooting for her. .. She really shines.
