Without the support of a promoter or a manager, Sergio first started fighting at backyard barbeques in East Los Angeles. His friend Carlos would often arrange these fights for entertainment and sport. This independent 24-year-old middleweight, who's known in his East L.A. neighborhood as the 'Latin Snake' hopes to restore the integrity of boxing by showing that they are more than just fighters, they're real people.
