The cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is apparently on the verge of a shake up.
Rumors are flying that Bravo will be bringing on two new housewives before the next season begins. So who's in and who's out?
Both E! and TMZ are both reporting that troubled Real Housewives star Taylor Armstrong is on the chopping block, apparently because she's too depressed and hasn't gotten over her husband Russell's 2011 suicide.
"Producers are looking at other options. They feel like Taylor's storyline has become too dark and they need to shake things up a bit," a source apparently told E! News.
Forty-one-year-old Taylor originally hails from Independence, Kansas, where she was born Shana Hughes. She had a daughter, Caroline, with Russell Armstrong in 2006. Taylor's New York Times bestselling memoir, Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss and Finding the Courage Within, chronicles her troubled childhood and the abuse she allegedly suffered at the hands of Russell.
On Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Taylor has always been troubled, but in the past 18 months, she has reportedly turned to alcohol to dull her pain.
Last year RadarOnline reported that Taylor’s fellow housewives staged an intervention to confront her about her drinking. And her recent erratic behavior prompted Bravo's Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen to openly question her sobriety on his show.
Now Bravo is apparently planning to fire Taylor and replace her with a new housewife.
E! News reports that Bravo is considering Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster to replace Taylor.
Meanwhile, gossip columnist Perez Hilton says that Bravo is considering bringing on former Extra host Dayna Devon for the upcoming fourth season.
Dayna starred on TLC's reality series Plastic Wives is married to a well-known Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Brent Moelleken.
Multiple sources are reporting that Bravo plans to bring on two new housewives, so the real question is whether Taylor is the only housewife being fired when the current, third season, ends.
