Here are some dates to remember if you are planning to watch the fifth season of American Idol:

  • Tuesday, January 17th -- American Idol, season five premieres on Fox. Footage from audition cities will be aired.

  • Wednesday, Feb. 8th -- Time for the Hollywood auditions.

  • Wednesday, February 15th -- The top 24 singers will be revealed.

  • Tuesday, February 21st -- The top male singers will perform.

  • Wednesday, February 23rd -- The top female singers will perform.

  • Thursday, February 24th -- Get ready for the first live results show.
