America's Got Talent Premise:

Unique acts including singers, dancers, comedians, and magicians compete to win $1 million.

How America's Got Talent Works:

The judges scour the nation for performers who have what it takes to compete on the show. Before potential contestants can move on in the competition, they must attend a talent boot camp. The performers chosen to move on from the boot camp stage to the semifinals perform live for America each week. Viewers vote for their favorite contestants after each episode. At the end of the competition, one talented act wins $1 million.

The America's Got Talent Judges:

The judges are former reality star Sharon Osbourne, actor/singer David Hasselhoff, and British TV personality Piers Morgan. Singer Brandy was a judge for season one.

The Host of America's Got Talent:

The show is hosted by comedian/actor/rapper Nick Cannon. It was previously hosted by The Jerry Springer Show host Jerry Springer for two seasons. Live with Regis and Kelly host Regis Philbin hosted during season one.

When to Watch America's Got Talent:

Summer, 2009: Tuesdays at 8 pm on NBC.

  • Executive producers: Simon Cowell, Ken Warwick, Cecile Frot-Coutaz (American Idol).
  • Co-executive producers: Jason Raff (Three Wishes) and Charles Boyd (American Idol).
