An action filled night
From volleyball on the beach to indoor skydiving, this episode of Top Model was filled with lights, cameras, and plenty of action!Bikinis on the beach
The girls donned their bikinis as they practiced their volleyball skills. Dive for the ball while still maintaining that model poise. For some it proved to be quite a challenge. Anchal was embarrassed about how her less than toned tummy would translate to film. I’m getting a bit sick of it. The girl is not fat by a long stretch. Maybe she should stop eating all the time and do some sit-ups if she is so worried about it!Off to the racetrack
The girls are off to a photo shoot challenge with James St. James who one model described as a “gothic drag queen”. Stanton Barrett, Nascar driver and model will be the costar in the shoot as the girls shoot their own photos by clicking a handheld button as they incorporate action into photography. They are to portray angry girlfriends who resent the fact that their careers are put on the backburners.The low-down on the photo shoot
The shoot was a blast to watch. Anchal once again disappointed when she didn’t really commit to the shoot claiming that she was afraid of hurting Stanton. She even complained, “I’m afraid of my boob falling out.” I have to admit, I was a bit concerned about that too. Her dress looked as if it had been sprayed on.A mistake that paid off
Michelle started out strong in the shoot. Then she decided to climb onto the car to jump onto Stanton. Did I mention she was wearing heels as she stood on top of his VERY expensive race car? Still, her spontaneity and commitment to the shoot paid off when she won the challenge. She was told she was going to go on a shopping spree. She could take three girls along.What???
When she chose her sister and Caridee, we weren’t surprised. But Melrose? I was a bit shocked. Melrose isn’t exactly Miss Popularity in the house.Thirty second shopping spree
The reward actually came in the form of another challenge. The girls are given thirty seconds to put on as many pieces of clothing as they can. Ten thousand dollars of dresses, jewelry, and other garments were available.She wins again
Caridee had 7 pieces. Amanda had 10. Michelle had 11. Melrose once again won with 13 pieces. She was given ALL the clothes as a reward. As she accepted the heaping mound of designer apparel, the girls scowled at her. I think Michelle was rethinking her decision. “I feel like every girl is wanting to kill me now,” Melrose commented. It’s time for the athletic photo training to be put into play as the girls dress in chic space apparel to take photos in an indoor simulated skydiving wind tunnel. I’ve done this before, and I can tell you, you have VERY LITTLE control of your body in the room, so I can’t imagine trying to look beautiful while flailing around.Girls flying everywhere
Jaeda tried her best, her attitude wonderful while her photos didn’t quite measure up. Caridee couldn’t take directions and was flopping all over the place. I couldn’t wait to see how the photos turned out.Facing the judges
When it was time to face the judges, the girls were given a new challenge. They were given a verb and an adverb to act out. Eugena’s shaking flirtatiously came off a bit awkward. Amanda’s skiing sadly was alright. Jaeda was great at skipping sensually. Michelle’s frightful swimming was comical instead of scary. Melrose was told to box joyfully and misinterpreted it as striking a pose in a vogue like fashion. Caridee had us all laughing until our sides hurt as she hid dizzily. The big disappointment once again came with Anchal. Dancing aggressively should not have been so difficult. She totally failed the challenge then took off running off stage.Unsurprising exits
Anchal was sent home. They made the right decision. The girl has major self-image hang-ups and just doesn’t have what it takes to be a model.Quotes of the night
