Pajama party
Cecile put on some skimpy pajamas and asked Matt what his type of girl was. He answered with a predictable, Youre my type. She actually put make-up on his face, barettes in his hair, and primped him up like a girl then paraded him around downstairs. Andrea was appalled. She was right. Could that actually be a self-esteem booster? I think not!Getting some booty
The geeks actually thought getting booty meant pocketing pirate treasure. Geez .The second challenge
Another couple would win the chance to send a couple to elimination. The challenge is for the geek to perform a stand-up comedy routine at a comedy club. The ladies were told they would be discussing national issues and were given study materials. The winner of each challenge would be given an opportunity to send another couple to the elimination room. The Laugh Factory Beauty and the Geek Comedy Showdown
Drew kept saying his name was Drew over and over. He told the camera later that he felt like a starship without shields. His jokes went really flat. Scooters routine was way to sophisticated for the audience and bombed totally. Paio decided vulgarity was the way to go. The problem was that he had tons of curse words and no punch lines. Nate was hilarious. He was confident and funny. Matts routine was lame, but he did have a brief funny moment. Neil did really well. He was funny. Sunjay was terrible. He said it best afterward when he said, Doing my standup was like watching my parents have sex. Awkward. Mario was really funny too. He seemed to be a natural on stage. And the crowd favorite was
With 86% of the votes, Nate again emerged victorious. I was in total agreement. He had me laughing out loud. There is something about him that makes you smile even when hes not telling jokes.Beautiful anchorwomen
The girls had to play anchorwoman and read from a teleprompter. They then had to interview the author of Freakinomics, part of their study materials. Most of the girls had not even bothered to read the book. Tori could not read the teleprompter and actually asked unrelated questions about parenthood. Megan bombed. Sheree nailed it. I would totally have believed she was a real anchorwoman had I not known better. She really knew a lot about the book, proving she had done her homework. Jennylee did alright. Cecille came off very Jessica Simpsonish. Andrea had nothing to say at all, giving her no room to continue to criticize Matt. Nadia did pretty well. And the winner is
Once again, I agreed with the judges. Sheree won by a landslide.Tensions mount
Sunjay and Tori were at eachothers throats. Tori wanted some type of pat on the back for her performance. The bottom line is that she did not appear to have put much effort into it, so I couldnt blame Sunjay for being agitated. The elimination
Nate and Cecile chose to send Sunjay and Tori to elimination while Sheree and Paio chose Erin and Drew. I was rooting for Tori and Sunjay to get the axe. Tori has proven herself quickly to be all beauty and no substance. The decision
To see which couple goes home, the beauties and geeks have to answer questions. The geeks answer questions about what makes women laugh. The beauties answer questions about current events. In the end, Sunjay and Tori said farewell when Tori could not manage to even answer one question correctly. Is Drew for real?
- Drew actually wore a Star Trek uniform to the elimination room.
- Drew said during the show, If you look like a limp sausage, youre going to sound like a limp sausage.
- Drew said if it came down to choosing a woman or Star Trek, he would choose Star Trek any day.
