The fourteen contestants competing on Big Brother 8 are Amber, Carol, Daniele, Dick, Dustin, Eric, Jameka, Jen, Jessica, Joe, Kail, Mike, Nick, and Zach. Most of the houseguests are in their twenties and single.

America's Player
A new twist for season eight will have one houseguest competing as "America's Player." This contestant must complete assignments in the house that are requested by viewers who vote at CBS's website or by text message. CBS explains that the assignments could be strategic moves or personal actions. America's Player is not allowed to tell the other contestants about this twist. If they are able to complete the assignments, they will be rewarded financially. Unexpected Houseguests
