Big Brother 10, Episode 14 Recap - -Power of Veto Competition

From

Episode Airdate: Tuesday, August 12, 2008

Keesha and Libra are not at all surprised that Michelle put them up for eviction. Libra says that between the leotard, the Hawaiian vacation, and disrupting her showmance with Jesse…(even if it was all in Michelle’s head…), she would have put her up too. Jerry, who I am having less and less respect for, says he wants Dan out for turning on his alliance. Michelle wants the two friends, Keesha and Libra, to compete against each other and watch the claws come out. Even though I would rather see April or Jerry leave, that catfight waiting to happen sounds kind of fun.

Keesha and Dan talk about how upset she is. He tells her not to let anyone see her cry, especially Michelle’s group. Keesha is hollering about Michelle and April suddenly being BFF’s, which she totally shouldn’t care about since both Keesha and April throw the “B” word (…bitch…) around about each other like they’re just saying “hi”. And not in a valley girl “I love you bitch!” kind of way. Libra joins them and tells Keesha to hold her head up high and go out with a fight. What she doesn’t say is “you’ll be fighting me”. Libra does say aloud, however, that if she is voted off, Keesha and Dan need to whip Michelle, Jerry and April’s donkey parts.

Keesha goes to visit Michelle in the HOH room. Michelle tells her that she really wants Libra out. Keesha says she needs to pray that Libra doesn’t get POV or it’s a given that she’s staying. They draw names for the competition, and along with Michelle, Libra and Keesha, April, Memphis and Jerry will be playing as Ollie hosts.

MOUTHS RUNNING LIKE WATER

April says she is at peace. She says she is tired of faking it with “that bitch”, referring to Libra. There goes that word again. Jerry is glad to see Libra and Keesha sweating. He visits Michelle in her power quarters and tells her that Dan is more of a threat in the game than Libra. All this because he went back on his word. Just like Jerry did with Brian. He tells Michelle he thinks that Dan is America’s Player (correct), and Michelle agrees. Then Jerry, ever the name-caller, says that if Dan is AP, he’s a scumbag. Later that night, Memphis and Dan want to have a little fun so they put bandanas on their faces and run into the girl’s room and start a pillow fight. Of course Renny screams a little too much taking half of the fun out of watching what could have been really entertaining. You kind of want to just mute her with the remote like in the movie “CLICK”.

VETO COMPETITION

One of the dumber competitions this far, this one involves cutting up onions and having them weighed in both a “veto” box and a “mystery” box. Two players get mystery prizes, only one gets the POV. They are given the choice to use a knife, a mallet or a chop thingy where you push the onion through a gizmo. Very industrial looking thing. It comes down to Jerry and Libra, with Jerry wining the POV by just four pounds of onions in his veto box. As for the mystery boxes, Memphis and April win, with Memphis picking his prize first: 24 hours with a brand new onion necklace. April gets a new wardrobe to wear in the BB house and then take home with her. She totally tells America that she deserves the prize and that the other girls are jealous of her. I hope she doesn’t mean her relationship with Ollie. Or over-processed hair. Or predisposition to call people bitch. Hmm…not so sure what they other girls are jealous of, but it’s April’s moment, so we’ll let her have it. Dan asks Ollie how bad Jerry wants him out of the house. Ollie tells him it’s personal for Jerry. Libra knows it’s a wrap for her since Jerry won POV, and Keesha breaks down in tears. Dan is nervous. Later, Jerry throws “the finger” (you know which finger…) up toward the room where Keesha, Libra and Dan are sitting as Aprollie laugh. Jerry says that Dan is no better than Judas. There goes that lightening warning again. Aprollie had better watch it. Guilt by association…Jerry goes back to Michelle (stand back girl!) and tells her he wants to take Keesha off the block so Dan can feel the heat. She tells him to do what he feels comfortable doing, although she likes things the way they are.
